  • Operate your detector as recommended in the instruction manual.

  • Do not attempt to repair or modify your detector electronics or allow any unauthorised person to do so.
CAUTION. Unauthorised repairs or modifications to your detector may void the warranty.

  • The cable is hardwired into the searchcoil.
Do not attempt removal of the spring retainer on the searchcoil housing.

  • Use only HIGH QUALITY carbon-zinc, alkaline or ni-cad batteries.
Always ensure that the batteries are fitted in the holders correctly before switching on your detector.
Remove Batteries during long term storage.
Never substitute batteries of different voltages.
Do not attempt to modify the power supply system.

  • Never spray lubricants such as WD40 or any type of cleaners, sealants or other chemical preparation on or into your detector.

  • Avoid banging the searchcoil against rocks or foundation walls.

  • Always protect the searchcoil with a properly designed scuff cover.

  • Remove and clean out scuff covers periodically to avoid the build up of mineralised or metallic particles.

  • After use, clean the detector with a soft cloth to remove any dust, moisture or other contaminants.

  • Do not store your detector in the boot of your car.

  • When working in or near water, protect the control housing with a plastic bag or cover.
If searching in salt water, wash off the coil, cable and stem portions which have been submerged, using fresh water.
    Dry with a soft cloth.
Do not allow the control housing to get wet.

  • Keep cables properly wound round the stem and protected.
Floppy or pinched cables may short causing erratic noises or unnecessary replacement of searchcoils.

  • Protect your detector from dust, moisture and extremes of temperature during storage.
Avoid storing it in places such as attics, basements or garages.
When shipping the detector, use the original factory carton or a similar heavy duty container.

  • Treat your detector as you would any sensitive electronic instrument. Although designed to withstand the demands of normal treasure hunting applications it is not intended to be improperly operated or abused.
