Metal Detector Upgrades

Pentechnic can offer a range of Upgrades to enhance your Detector.
(Upgrades apply to particular models - for more general enhancements see Modifications

Laser B3 Upgrade
Thr Laser B3 is a classic detector with many superb finds to it's credit.
If you use a B3 and want to 'pep' it up we can offer a fixed/adjustable ground cancel mod.
This makes it easy to change coils while retaining the turn-on-and-go simplicity.

Lobo SuperTRAQ & WolfTRAX Audio Upgrade
Both of these machines feature a variable audio tone when a target is detected (VCO).
Often described as "sounding like a strangled duck" we can modify your machine to operate
with a single tone which sounds similar to a Laser B3

Laser Trident I & Trident II Audio Upgrade
The Trident I & II give a low and pleasant tone when detecting a target, however some people prefer a higher tone.
This upgrade increases the audio frequency in the motion mode.

Tesoro Tejon PRO Upgrade
Pentechnic can now offer a PRO upgrade for the TEJON.
Not everyone can get on with multi-turn ground controls.
There can be occasions when a user may find it difficult to adjust this control,
or maybe you just want to switch on and start searching immediately.
This upgrade will give you the choice.
Fixed for ease of use...or...Adjustable for maximum performance.

Earlier models can also benefit from important changes to the discrimination system.
These changes make the Tejon an ideal choice for farmland searching,
especially if you are looking for small coins/hammered on iron/junk infested sites.

Laser Scout  Upgrade (B-o-o-s-t)
Pentechnic can now offer a boost and audio frequency upgrade for the Scout
The boost will increase depth by up to 2 inches in air tests.
The frequency change will give a much sharper and clearer response to small targets.

Laser Rapier Upgrade
If you intend to use two or more searchcoils with your Rapier then you could benefit from the fitting of a PLUS upgrade.

A switch is fitted to the front panel with some extra components which allows you to
instantly set the detector tuning to match your chosen coil.

Tesoro EUROSabre/Eldorado/Vaquero PRO
Some Tesoro models have a front panel ground control for the operator to manually adjust.
There can be occasions when a user may find it difficult to adjust this control
or maybe you just want to switch on and start searching immediately.
This upgrade will give you the choice.
Fixed for ease of use...or...Adjustable for maximum performance.
(This upgrade can also be fitted to similar Tesoro models (eg. Eldorado/Vaquero)

Laser PowerMAX Upgrade
The PowerMAX II has been manufactured to allow a choice of upgrades.
If you intend to use two Searchcoils of different types (ie 2D & Web)
Then the PLUS Upgrade will allow you to interchange coils easily.
A switch and extra circuitry are fitted which allow you to instantly set the detector tuning to match your chosen coil.

If you intend to use two or more searchcoils and wish to have the option of manually tuning the Detector then the PRO Upgrade would be your best choice.
A switch and extra circuitry are fitted to give you the choice of
either fixed or fully user adjustable tuning.
The PRO upgrade does not take away your PowerMAX II's user friendly switch-on-and-go capability.
The two modes (fixed or adjustable) are selected by the simple two way switch.

"Which Upgrade is the best for me?"
If you are the sort of operator who prefers a powerful and efficient
switch-on-and-go detector that will probably still recover
in excess of 95% of the recoveries of a correctly tuned manual unit
and wish to use two searchcoils then choose the PLUS upgrade.

If you are the sort of operator who is prepared to practice and persevere
in order to extract the very last degree of performance for any given search conditions
and/or wish to use several accessory searchcoils then choose the PRO upgrade.

  Upgrades by Pentechnic do not affect your Warranty
